Visual Action Toolset

The Visual Action Toolset is a full suite of software libraries, widgets, fonts, sample programs and documentation that enables developers to create a new generation of graphical applications that take advantage of the Adobe's high-quality graphics available through Adobe's Display PostScript system -- visual applications that simply are not practical to build with X, Motif and related tools.

The Visual Action Toolset is the first suite of tools available to assist Motif developers in the creation of Live Document applications -- that is, interactive documents that act as useful tools for problem solving, business reporting and management, personal productivity and a host of other activities. Using the toolkit, developers can build visual applications that overlay GUI behavior on the same high-quality graphics previously available through desktop publishing systems. With the toolset, any document that can be printed to PostScript device can be quickly and easily transformed into a live document within an application.
